I viewed him like a robot not as a person so I couldn't really feel what Kari was supposedly feeling for him. I really enjoyed the story but I did feel that at times it needed a little bit more editing. Just when she thinks all hope is lost, Maria makes an appearance–but is the succubus really there to save her. Especially in a year when so many writers were trying to say "Goodbye to All That," Michelle Orange was more subtly earning her place as of one of Joan Didion's heirs. ” ([object Object]).
