I did not like the message given inthisbook to kids about how much they disliked spot because he was "fat, tall, little". I get the overall message that they like him best as he started out, no need to change, but the way it is presented is not good....
ividuality and friendship.Originally created by Dr. Seuss, Beginner Books encourage children to read all by themselves, with simple words and illustrations that give clues to their meaning."Spot changes from elephant to giraffe to mouse, trying to find a new identity, but discovers that every animal shape has its drawbacks. This intelligent, cheerful sequel, with its simple rhyming text, lives up to the reputation of its predecessor."--Publishers Weekly.
